Main aim: to enhance education for individuals with special needs by leveraging Erasmus+ opportunities. The project seeks to address the evolving technological landscape in special education and the need for updated approaches and professional development for special education teachers. Ultimately, the goal is to improve learning outcomes for students with special educational needs (SEN) and alleviate the challenges faced by teachers in keeping up with these advancements.
Objectives:
- To develop a gamified curriculum for use in special education.
- To create a web-based platform for easy access to the gamified curriculum.
- To provide special education teachers with additional educational resources.
- To enhance the engagement and interest of students with SEN in the learning process.
- To adapt and improve educational approaches in special education according to current needs and developments.
Activities:
Transnational Project Meetings | 2024–2025
Two transnational project meetings were organised to coordinate the project implementation and monitor progress. TPM1 was held in Lithuania in January 2024 with 13 participants, and TPM2 was held in Poland in December 2024 with 9 participants. During these meetings, partners reviewed the development of project results, discussed feedback, and planned upcoming activities, ensuring alignment between all partners.
Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA) | April 2024
An international training activity took place in the Netherlands from April 22 to 27, 2024, bringing together 13 participants, where participants were introduced to gamification concepts and practical methods for applying them in special education. The training covered topics such as interactive activities, adaptive learning strategies, collaborative learning, and assessment through gamified approaches. Participants developed practical skills in designing engaging learning experiences tailored to students with special educational needs and explored ways to integrate these methods into everyday teaching practice, increasing student engagement and interest in learning.

Development of Gamified Curriculum (Result-1) | 2024–2025
Partners developed a comprehensive gamified curriculum designed for inclusive education. The curriculum includes structured modules such as interactive activities and games, adaptive learning, and collaborative learning, supported by detailed lesson plans and practical teaching scenarios. These materials aim to improve students’ engagement, motivation, and development of social, emotional, and cognitive skills through game-based learning approaches, while also providing additional educational resources for special education teachers.
Fun Factor Gamified Special Education Curriculum
Development and Evaluation of Digital Platform (Result-2) | 2024–2025
The project also focused on transforming the gamified curriculum into a web-based platform to ensure wider accessibility for special education teachers. The digital platform allows educators to access gamified learning materials, lesson plans, and interactive activities in an easy-to-use format. Additionally, testing and evaluation activities were carried out among teachers, students, and parents. The results showed that gamified tools positively impact student motivation and support more engaging and inclusive learning processes.
Multiplier Events | October 2025
Multiplier events were organised in partner countries to disseminate project results and present developed tools and methodologies. The events included project presentations, demonstrations of the gamified curriculum, and interactive workshops.A multiplier event took place on October 17, 2025, at Leyla Atakan İlkokulu Eğitim Salonu in Türkiye, bringing together 40 participants. Another multiplier event was organised in the Netherlands as a dissemination of project results event, involving 49 participants. Additionally, a multiplier event in Poland engaged 58 participants, further expanding the reach and impact of the project.

Results:
- Development of a gamified curriculum specifically designed for special education, fostering a more engaging and effective learning environment.
- Establishment of a web-based education platform to facilitate easy access to the gamified curriculum, providing special education teachers with a valuable resource.
- Enhanced interest and motivation among students with SEN, creating a more enjoyable learning experience within special education settings.
- Empowerment of special education teachers through additional educational resources, allowing them to better cater to the needs of their students.
- Adaptation and improvement of educational approaches in special education to align with the evolving needs and advancements in the field.
